Height:
Males are ideally 24 to 26 inches in height; Females are 22 to 24
inches Color:
Body rich
fawn to russet mahogany with black overlay. The coat is
characteristically double pigmented, whereas the tip of each fawn
hair is blackened. Belgian Tervurens characteristically become
darker with age. |
 | Basic
Requirements: This
is an active breed that requires early training and daily
interaction with people. Belgian Tervurens require a yard with room
to run and play and a strong, tall fence. Bi-Weekly brushings and
monthly baths will help to control moderate to seasonal heavy
shedding. |
 | Temperament:
Loyal,
protective, and intelligent. Dogs that are to be with children do
best if raised around them. Belgian Tervurens are a working breed
that excel at police work, schutzhund, herding, obedience and more. |

lifespan is 13 years. Watch for Hip and Elbow Dysplasia, PRA,
