AKC Height: Dogs 26 to 28 inches, ideal about 27 1/2 inches; Bitches 24 to 26 inches, ideal about 25 1/2 inches.  Color: Black, red, blue, and fawn (Isabella).

Basic Requirements: A secure 6' tall fenced yard is necessary for a Doberman. They need ample room to run and exercise. Weekly brushing will help control moderate shedding.

Temperament: Loyal and protective of his owners, Dobermans are good watchdogs. Temperaments vary so ask to see the puppy's parents to get an idea of their temperament. Good-natured Dobermans generally get along well with children.
