AKC Height: Ideally, Dogs 27 1/2 inches and up at the withers; bitches 25 1/2 inches and up at the withers. Color: White, but not always the pure white.

Basic Requirements: Due to the Komondor's protective nature, early socialization and consistent training is important. They need a securely fenced yard with room to run and exercise. The coat requires that it be kept clean and free from dirt and debris. This may require daily brushing.

Temperament: Komondors are very protective of their families and make good watch dogs. Once mature, they are generally calm in the house.

Health (Health Dictionary click here) The average lifespan is eleven years. Watch for bloat, entropian, hip dysplasia, juvenile cataracts
