Basic Requirements: Due to the protective nature of the breed, early socialization, trips to the park, and obedience training is important. Kuvasz need a securely-fenced yard with room to exercise and play. Bi-weekly brushing will help to control moderate shedding.

Temperament: Kuvasz are protective of their family and make good watch dogs. They should have early contact and socialization around children if they are expected to be good with children.
