 | AKC
Height: Ideally,
dogs over 30"; bitches over 27 1/2".
Color: Fawn,
apricot or brindle. |
 | Basic
Requirements: Due
to their large size, Mastiffs require early socialization around new
people and situations, and consistent obedience training. A
securely-fenced yard with room to run and play is necessary. Weekly
brushing will help to control moderate shedding. |

Temperament
Properly raised
Mastiffs are not generally aggressive dogs; however, they are loyal to and
protective of their family, and can become aggressive in certain situations.
Dogs that are raised around children are usually very good with them. |
