Old English Sheepdog

AKC Height: Ideally, dogs 22" and up; bitches 21" and up. Color: Any shade of gray, grizzle, blue or blue merle with or without white markings or in reverse.

Basic Requirements: Old English Sheepdogs need daily exercise, and a well-fenced yard is important. They require a generous amount of grooming time. Bi-weekly brushing will help to control moderate shedding. Occasional bathing and trimming is necessary.

Temperament: Old English Sheepdogs are happy, playful dogs that make good family companions. They will bark when a stranger comes to the door, but are not considered an aggressive breed.

Health (Health Dictionary click here) Watch for cataracts, PRA, hip dysplasia, thyroid disorders, Sebaceous Adenitis (SA), deafness
