Petit Basset Griffon Vendeen

AKC Height: Ideally, between 13 and 15 inches. Color: White with any combination of lemon, orange, black, tricolor or grizzle markings.

Basic Requirements: Petit Basset Griffon Vendeen (PBGV's) require a moderate-sized yard in which to exercise. Weekly brushing will help to control minor shedding.

Temperament: Petit Basset Griffon Vendeens are happy dogs that are good with families. They will generally bark when a stranger approaches the home, but are not aggressive watchdogs.

Health (Health Dictionary click here) Average lifespan is 12 years. Watch for epilepsy, PBGV juvenile pain syndrome, hypothyroidism, lens luxation, PPM, retinal dysplasia, glaucoma, hip dysplasia, patellar luxation.
